Overview

Outlook Rules Manager is a Chrome extension that adds import and export buttons to Outlook Web's rules settings. This policy explains how the extension handles user data.

Data collection

Outlook Rules Manager does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no cookies, and no third-party services.

How the extension works

The extension runs entirely in your browser. When you use the import or export features, it communicates directly with Microsoft's Outlook API (outlook.office.com/api/v2.0) using your existing Outlook Web session. No data passes through any intermediary server.

Authentication

The extension reuses the authentication token from your active Outlook Web session. This token is held in memory only for the duration of your browsing session. It is never stored, logged, or sent to any server other than Microsoft's Outlook API.

Permissions

The extension requires access to Outlook Web domains (outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com, outlook.live.com) in order to:

No other websites are accessed.

Remote code

The extension does not use any remote code. All scripts are bundled within the extension package.
